YONGLIN PU

Dr. Yonglin Pu has trained in both Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine in the US and China. Dr. Pu’s extensive research includes his documentation -- for the first time in neonates with magnetic resonance spectroscopy -- the presence of an increase in brain Glutamate/Glutamine in patients with Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy. He was one of the key investigators who discovered a new sensory function of the red nucleus and inferior olive of the human brain as well as the temporal dissociation of parallel processing in human subcortical outputs using functional MRI. In addition, he has also reported the value of MRI in the diagnosis of liver laceration and traumatic hemobilia for the first time. In total, Dr. Pu has authored more than 40 scholarly articles in the field of Diagnostic Radiology. He started practice in 2004.
